Aerie, Tinderbox

Hidden in amongst the tree tops within Tinderbox looking out towards Bruny Island and the D’Entrecasteaux Channel is the magnificent Aerie. I was immediately in awe of the beautiful raw Tasmanian materials that had been used within this retreat and the collection of art forms on display that the host had brought throughout their travels. Once settled in we were so eager to try out the famous wood fired hot tub and sit back and relax as we watched the boats go in and out of the Channel and a sea eagle soar up above. If the hot tub doesn’t satisfy your need for complete relaxation then you can retreat to the egg shaped bath or rainfall shower and absorb the view through the tall gum trees. As I woke in the morning, I was greeted with the beautiful sound of the Joe Witty bird echoing through the hillside and beams of sunlight calling you to take in the incredible surrounding views again.
