When you first hear the name Rocky Ridge you instantaneously think of an amazing place close to the water with large windows bringing the outdoors in… well this is exactly how Rocky Ridge stood. Approaching the house you are greeted with an amazing entrance made from local blue stone. As I began to walk down the hallway I was coerced to the front of the house, which was made up of an expanse of large windows bringing the amazing Oyster Bay view to your feet. On the western side of the house you will find east coast bushland with a creek and stonewall running through, providing a beautiful contrast to the open waters. Whilst I continued to explore this house I was amazed by the endless unfolding of beautiful features, from the rejected timber floorboards that had been restored with resin and treasures to fill the holes by a local artist, to the light wooden pendant lights. But what truly made this Aribnb spectacular to me was the early morning wake up, sitting on the deck with a coffee to watch the sun rise over Freycinet and Oyster Bay with a panoramic view all the way south towards Mayfield Beach. Now rejuvenated, you can head north to Kelvedon Beach to see the iconic boat shed, explore the local bays along the coastline and call into Swansea for some lunch.
