When I think of a shack what comes to mind is the amazing wooden smoky smells when you first walk in the door. When you look around you can see all of the little natural collections on window ledges and shelves from the local bay or beach. This is immediately the sense I got at The Shack in Sheepwash Bay. Throughout the day it is flooded by warm light and the sounds of native birds collecting nectar from the banksia tree on the front deck. At night it becomes a warm, cosy retreat once the sun disappears behind the peaks in the distance. As you head out to explore the private property you may be lucky enough to be guided by Mikey the famous Sheewash Bay pooch. The bay offers you the opportunity to explore the shoreline and the rocks pools around the point or rest on the wooden swing and take in the view and serenity. If that hasn’t sent you into complete relaxation then the shack has acquired a lovely new edition to the deck to really help you unwind. Layback in the amazing black tub with a cold beverage and watch as the sun begins to fade. In the mornings you will be pleasantly surprised to find a warm loaf of bread freshly baked by The Bruny Baker that morning. Does it honestly get any better?
